General Assets
Overview
When an asset doesn't fit neatly into a specific category, we apply a general valuation framework that emphasizes universal factors: condition, authenticity, rarity, and market demand.
The fundamental approach remains consistent: identify comparable sales, assess condition relative to those comparables, verify authenticity and provenance, and adjust for any unique characteristics that affect desirability. Market depth matters—items with active collector bases are more liquid and prices more reliable than truly obscure items.
Our methodology triangulates between available sales data, dealer pricing, and replacement cost analysis. We apply conservative estimates when market data is thin and highlight uncertainty factors that might significantly affect value.
