Fine Wine
Overview
Fine wine valuation combines market data with comprehensive factor extraction. We extract all observable characteristics:
- **Core identifiers**: Vintage year, producer tier, region - **Physical attributes**: Bottle format, condition, packaging - **Provenance**: Storage confidence, original packaging status - **Market signals**: Critic scores, lot size
Our ML model learns the appropriate weightings between these factors from historical auction data, enabling nuanced valuations that capture market dynamics across different wine segments.
Valuation Factors
7 factorsValuation Type
Whether market research found exact match (bypass adjustments) or need condition/storage adjustments. Use exact_match when market research prices are from the same producer+vintage with similar condition.
Producer Tier
Classification of the producer's prestige level. Icons are legendary estates, first growths are official Bordeaux 1er Cru.
Region
Wine region of origin. Different regions have different market dynamics.
Format
Bottle size. Magnums and larger command premiums for superior aging.
Condition
Physical state: fill level and label condition. Pristine = perfect, compromised = damaged/low fill.
Storage Confidence
Confidence in proper storage history. Verified = documented professional cellar, suspect = signs of damage.
Packaging
Original packaging status. OWC (original wooden case) commands premium.
